Standard American diet has changed drastically over the years, and now is compounded with GMO"S, and chemical toxins. Add some prescription meds to the mix, and some fluoridated water, and a chem trail or two, and that is a recipe for disease. We take what we need from the info presented, and live the healthiest we can. Grass fed beef, once a week, does a body good. Raw milk does a body good.
Coconut oil great too. And keep that spine line in good shape.

it is easy to scare people by showing people who have had surgery and compare them to vegetables. It isn't true that if you eat meat you will get diseases or the less you eat. All those cultures had meat or meat products there are no groups of people out there that eat no meat. That is an important note to make. It has been found that the healthiest people eat meat around 3 times a week and have dairy products. There isn't enough plant food out there to feed people and nourish people. People can't find all their nutrients in grains they have to have dairy and the occasional meat. They also ate the whole animal. Bone broths are huge in chinese cultures, japanese, korean, africans too. So you don't need big portions of meat thats bad but you do need some animal foods including things like dairy, organ meats and bone broths and fermented foods.

+Vahe345 I've been a low fat vegan for ten years, my son for five. I have turned my Mother and aunt who were dying from diabetes and heart disease onto a low fat vegan diet and now reversed their disease. You are talking to the wrong person. I don't even remember what meat tastes like and I don't miss it. I like the vibrant colors of fruits and vegetables and the taste of its sugars. Look into 80/10/10.

I Thought I responded to this already.

vegan is great for cleansing toxins and therefor removing diseases but as I have seen in many cases if you don't start eating some meat you will deplete your stores of fat soluble vitamins and your hormones will start to get out of wack from being deprived of fat and cholesterol. Your liver will be working extra hard to produce 100% of the bodies cholesterol instead of 85% like it usually does. It is crazy to think that eating cholesterol can raise your chance for heart disease when your liver produces 85% of the cholesterol.

I've looked into 8-10-10 there are few people over 10 yr vegan that are healthy and it makes me think "wow" like I say "wow" when I see a smoker over 90 in good health. It is really rare I wonder if it is something that can be easily replicated or is it a body type thing or where you live but I know that many many informed people like nutritionists are getting serious health issues from veganism.

The filmmakers of this documentary are political ideologues whose mission is to save the whales and have all human beings eat tree bark. They care nothing about the health of humans. Foods that are high in quantity, low in quality, and high in convenience, coupled with a sedentary lifestyle, are ENTIRELY the problem with the obesity problem in America. Name one culture on the planet from the dawn of civilization up to now that had not incorporated animal protein into their diet. Are Japanese people unhealthy? Fish is their staple food. When I prepare a salad for myself, I top it off with anchovies as my protein source. Are anchovies bad? Are sardines bad? Wild caught salmon? Grilled shrimp? Grilled chicken? Turkey? Low fat ham? Protein is essential for the repair of muscle tissue, among other functions, and when lined up side by side with other foods, the meat item, when prepared properly, is the healthiest choice.

As a fit American who is not overweight and exercises regularly, I ask you not to fall for the blatant lie this documentary is putting forth. I eat animal protein and plan to continue. I stay away from obvious health bombs like red meat, pasta, flour and gluten based products, MSG, simple carbs, sugar, and other foods that are broken down into sugar upon immediate consumption (corn, potatoes, white rice, etc.). Notice how most of these items I avoid are not meat. I am an avid eater of fish, seafood and poultry, and I keep my dairy intake to a minimum, though I do drink low-fat milk and eat yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and low calorie cheese.

Our ancestors did just fine eating animals, which is why the human race is still around today.

Our teeth are made of molars for chewing, cuspids for tearing, and incisors for biting, designed for the purpose of eating meat, not an Ensure vanilla shake.

If you go to McDonald's every day and super size it, then rest your bones on a sofa and watch reruns of Maude, you deserve to be fat.

Final litmus test for those still clinging to this piece of dreck called Forks over Knives. When you wake up with hunger pangs, what is the type of food we normally crave? If you say a celery stick, you require a mental evaluation.

Eat meat, people! Just keep it healthy, and exercise daily! It works for me, and it can work for anybody!

For some reason, reading this twice, it sounds like you are stating exactly what he is saying. We are eating crappy food, lots of it, and we are sitting doing nothing, and is killing us. I like the way you rephrased his statements.

Okay, since you 1) didn't bother to watch and think about this, because you're wrong about what they say, 2) are either ignorant of or lying about the Japanese diet as well as way overstating the history of human meat eating in general - in fact you present no facts whatsoever,  3) are deeply emotionally troubled over this issue, to the point where you can't just disagree but feel the need to accuse them of being evil and awful people, let's see now...  WHO is the political ideologue?

I call bull. It's not in meat or dairy. . . or maybe it partially is.  It's in the GMO food we're eating. Corn, wheat, soy. . . all of this is crap food.  It's in the drugs they pump into the cattle and the GMO foods we feed them.  It's the fluoride and other worthless chemicals we put into our water supply in order for companies to make money off of their waste products.  Saying that just animal products are causing all of this is a load of crap.  It's a huge combination of things - mostly based on greed.

I prompt you to investigate and read about all the additives, hormones, antibiotics, fungus, dyes (etc etc etc) that are added to the meat and dairy products. Also, check out food inc.

The goal is not to die.  The goal is to have a quality life as long as you can.  There is no doubt that vegans who eat properly get less cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc. No one who researches this disputes it.

Today I went to a graduation party, and of course, BBQ pork and beef ribs, chips, sodas and dip. Everyone therek except for the teens were over weight to obese and talking about their health issues while sucking on the ribs and drinking.

Vegan diet is very simple... Eat veggies and fruit from your yard you can grow easily and just buy a few things at the farmers market.  cheap, easy, healthy, loose weight, gain health.  better quality of life.

also another point thats worth making is that the milk and cows in the 1900's was completely different then now. Right now the cows are what has been called frankenstein cows that are genetically modified cows basically designed to produce maximum amount of milk. they produce 3 times more milk and they have to turn them into diseased animals. So we know that a human mother with disease gives poor quality or even dangerous milk thats why we tell mothers not to have toxic foods or heavy metals but we allow our population to drink this toxic milk and eat these toxic animals that have to be on antibiotics all the time and fed hormones. they also eat a non grass diet and don't move around a lot. Aside from that the milk is pasturized killing all beneficial enzymes and homogenized which denatures the fats. So when we do all these things to natural foods so we can keep them longer without getting bad. It really takes away all the nutrients and can make the food toxic. This can be seen with wheat, table salt, and others...

For animal products to cause heart disease and cancer and weak bones then how come the skelletons of big meat eaters such as the eskimos are so thick and strong. Like their skulls are thicker, there teeth are good too. Also many researchers have studied them Norweigans, weston price and others. None have found any cases of heart disease among natural Eskimos eating their traditional diet.

It is important not to over eat meat but to avoid it will lead to weakness and lack of reproductivity in most or all people. People like Ghandi and the Dali Lama desperately tried and failed.

I am no troll, simply an individual investigating this lifestyle and finding it lacking. The funny part is referring to these observations as "studies". A true scientific study is done under controlled conditions to eliminate a large number of variables, and then try to come to scientific conclusions. Calling someone a troll just because they do not agree with your position is itself being a troll, so why don't you go away, and come back when you have something constructive to add.
 
celery is cheap also if you cant afford much, & you can get Magnesium Citrate & Calcium Citrate.those 2 are organic&easily assimilated,MANY SUPPLEMENTS COME WITH INORGANIC OXIDE MINERALS that your body cannot use- thats how they get ya. so i recommend buying the citrates taking em together (they come in bulk for $10. All this stuffis in bulk so its pretty cheap, by me at a co-op) Many ppl are magnesium deficient&if u study up on mag & cal, youll see how important the 2 are, & they work 2gether
 
Are you honestly blind? How can you refute the monsterous corelation between diet and cancer rates in China? How can you just dismiss the casein study? Your statement is chocked full of genralizations so I trust you are only posting here to elicite responses. Go away troll or provide constructive statements that back up your claims that eating meat above 5-10% of your caloric intake is healthy.
 
whats working 4 me- 2 make nut milk, 1/4 cup or pound of raw nuts, blend,add 2&1/2 cups distilled water,blend,sift (if u must have it sweeter, maple syrup & vanilla extract) its amazing & THICK! just found out that green black& white tea are same plant. and are a magnet for ALUMINUM & FLUORIDE, from air, water, ground fertilizer, pesticide, etc ->avoid green black & white tea. Forks over Knives was a great movie, but this presentation was sooo dull, just reading off the slides without a lot of enthusiasm

Your anger alone makes you sound biased. Why are we omnivores? Who says?I have never had the urge to kill a cow and eat it, a lion will hunt naturally through instinct. When we go to a store we pick from things that have been done for us. I eat meat but The point of this study is to open the eyes to those who have completely disregarded vegetables from their diet.
 
I ahve sifted through tons of health lectures & papers & studies & etc to educate myself & try to get my dad well, & Dr Bergman really knows his whats up & out of all the videos ive come across, i can say that John Bergman, is one of 2 that 'TEACH" , & arent trying to sell you their secrets, or slip in disinfo. He is really amazing & the info he shares is our birthright & he is is reconnecting us with it.Most others have a catch or string u along omitting things or tell outright dangerous lies.

The pharmaceutical industry designed the MD and DO medical school curricula to feed its own industry, so no surprise here for nutrition to be missing from required classes. Therefore, you can't really expect doctors to be experts in something they were never taught in the first place.
 
I in my body am becoming so healthy & energized & much better able to concentrate, the Chia seeds you recommended are super amazing energy seeds & i made my own nut milk with a mix of hazelnuts & almonds.& mine doenst have Caragreenean, one of the 40 Msg ingredients, like all the others at the store. the hemp flax & almond milk at store all has msg & funny ingredients & im sure fluoridated water. filtered doesnt hardly ever mean distilled with corporations. just wanted to share with
 
This presentation would be far more effective if you kept the camera on the screen more and longer than on the presenter. I would even suggest keeping the camera on the screen ALL the time and have the presenter be the 'narrator' and give the extra info as we look at the slides. . .
 
A friend of mine said his sister turned to the Koran for instruction, when she was diagnosed with a cancer, the docters were astounded when it disappeared.{ btw, the Koran,one of the few books, which speaks of the Moon being artificial ! }Recently, I'm reading that Turmeric is one of these essential aids, But Hedge Hog, tube.com/watch?v=KNCGkprGW_o{ Foods That Kill} has good info. Yeah! Isn't it awesome? Not just the health benefits, but it's such an exciting and tasy diet too! Not only are most of the edible plants delicious raw & on their own, but there's endless possibilities for meal combining and recipes! Case in point: you can make the best chocolate cake using avocado instead of butter, and it doesn't affect the taste or texture any. My bro who's pickier than a 5 year old gave it the "carnivore's" thumbs up! =D
 
He said casein is an amino acid. No it is not. It is a phosphoprotein.
 
Forks over knives was really eye opening for me. To anyone who sees this, and suffers from health problems, take it from me, I used to suffer from hypertension (high blood-pressure), and anxiety attacks. I've since switched my diet from processed foods and animal byproducts to plant based foods, and i don't even need my medicine anymore, i feel more energetic, dont have high blood-pressure, and havent had an anxiety attack since i started eating better. Your diet is everything!
 
07:35 the reason behind the boom in cancer isn't due to casein, but rather the increase in polyunsaturated fatty acids that are high in hydrogenated vegetable oils, like corn, sunflower, safflower and more. The long chain omega 6's and omega 3's are unstable,therefore omega 3 oils require darkness and cold environment in order not to cause free radicals to be produced. Omega 6's produce free radicals as well, and has been found in a Canadian study to produce the highest oxidation in mitochondria

actually, individual amino acids cannot affect the brain but rather peptides. the lack of digesting bacteria because of pasteurization has led to a partial breakdown of casein into a 7 amino acid peptide called 'beta-casomorphin-7". When a leaky gut does occur, this short chain peptide can seep through into the blood stream and activates up to 45 areas in the brain associated with opium.. thus numbing our sense. DRINK RAW MILK! PERIOD.

Hey my sister has a non cancerous tumor, but it grows and gets bigger sometimes and she's constantly having to go to surgeries and on medications that give her constant seizures and pains. I'm already a vegan and I'm an advocate of the lifestyle but I was wondering if there is a resource or npo that she could contact for some guidence on her nutrition. I'm a firm believer in forks over knives and so any information with this would really help. She lives in california btw @John Bergman
 
I am getting ready to watch forks over knives right now. Happy to say, that my parents are both watching your vids now doctor Bergman & they are having such great results, that they are sharing it with ppl they know. Ppl are waking up. Persistence & Love pays off. My father is off the chemo & 6-MP, & AZT & YAY doing better!!!! has ups & downs but mostly ups.I am really enjoying all of this learning & sharing. seeing ppls lives evolve with progress is a beautiful thing.

So you've been doing all this stuff wrong all your life, and now you want to tell everyone else what to do since you are now aware of your mistakes and doing something different? I am glad you are realizing the things you did wrong and seeking to change that, but you might just wait a while since you might not be right about everything else you do now just because it's different.

I finally figured that out, as well, what carbs to eat to maintain a sustainable energy level. I simply don't get the low carb, high fat diets. I feel sluggish after eating saturated fats. I have yet to get off the BP medicine. I figure once I've taken off the weight I need to take off, I'll be able to give that a shot. That BP pill has got to be negatively impacting my energy level.
 
06:50 that is incorrect. Casein is not an amino acid found in milk, it's a protein found in milk. 07:30 well yeah, when you pasteurize food you kill it. Probiotic bacteria come with milk and essentially are the first line of digestion of proteins. Milk comes alive, and that means with bacteria complementary in order to increase the bioavailability since the gut cannot absorb full proteins but rather single amino acids or up to a peptide of 2-3.
 
Not as far as there toxicity. But remember meat has an acidifying effect on the body. Not good. Also, although technically a calorie is a calorie, it isn't as easy for your body to use a calorie of meat as it is for it to use a calorie of fresh greens.
 
Correlation does not imply causation. Thats pretty basic.
 
i had black/brown pitting of the enamel, its disappearing. ive been oil pulling4bout a month. I cut out dairy & sugar (for the most part) & got rid of all aluminum pans & nickel silverware, & got stainless steel & iron since the others absorb into you. 2 tbs of Unrefined cold pressed Nutiva coconut oil. I add the oil with chocolate chips & hemp seeds, & have little snacks. later i mix chia seeds with nut milk & later even i drink a glass of Moringa powder. Celery Juice has TONS of benefits
 
I'm going to buy the DVD and watching this was very informative. Being from the South it's going to be a challenge. I plan to share my DVD with friends and family and pray they all get something out of it. God bless.
 
No human studies that I know of the bacterial content and antibiotic content and pesticides are all higher in commercial animal products then organic however all animal products contain endotoxins and that causes systemic inflammation and that weakens your body and will cause dis-ease
 
What a crock, there are billions of healthy folks in this world who eat meat. There are also many reports of vegans suffering from nutrient deficiency diseases. The real problem is all the sugar, corn, and other simple carbs that make up the current western diet. Eat a sensible diet cutting out most simple carbs and you will be fine. Moderation is and always was the key.
 
I was not in the position that i am now, just 1 year ago, & from changing my diet, i have drastically changed my mind & got it back int hte working order that its supposed to be, well its starting to get there lets jsut say, I hope everything continues to evolve & change. id hate to be ''done' :) We rarely realize that nutrition & what we eat breath & drink can really build us or break us down. We normally think what gets you, jumps outta the bush or its genetics,ex Adhd-its chemicals&fluoride
 
The best way to develop a lean body and long term health is by switching to a high carb, low fat, vegan diet with light exercise. Carbs will not make you fat, this is a myth. What causes you to be fat are foods that are high in fat. Cut out all the meat and dairy and the fat will fall off your body. Eat as many fruit, vegetables, and high carb foods as you want. Restrict the amount high fat foods you eat. This is the key to sustainable long term health and fitness. Thanks for reading.
 
absolutely right caseins are a protein that when broken down become amino acids can affect the brain if there is a leaky gut weakening the immune system the big killer is PUFA's and oils that become rancid even omega 3's can be toxic, coconut is good and stable, thank you for your comments, you ROCK!!!
 
2:00. Diet is 80% of the obesity problem. Exercise is only 10%. IMHO. Kids are fat because lazy and uneducated parents are letting their kids eat refined foods and soda.

I found this video so annoying. First the man, (John DeWitt), talking kept looking over at the board and we saw his profile with 1/4 of the board showing.. The board was not shown long enough to read when it was shown completely. He kept saying, "we'll get into that later" ,,, when?? Lastly, the lady COUGHING in the background should have been removed from the room.

This doctor is an idiot. Casein is a type of protein not an amino acid as he points out. His presentation also has other errors, incorrectly paraphrasing the movie.
 
Shut your pie hole. The lack of pasteurization and prevalence of certain bacteria does not improve digestibility or compatibility of cow´s milk to humans in any significant way. Not "opium" but rather "opioids". Raw milk is poison. Endogenous hormones, excess fat, saturated fat, excess protein, cholesterol, IGF-1, toxic, viral and bacterial contamination etc etc etc...
